The National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NCDPHA) management has approved the installation of new security lighting at all NCDPHA-managed clinics in Moresby South District. This initiative is part of NCDPHA’s ongoing commitment to ensuring safe, accessible, and community-friendly health services across Port Moresby.

The clinics in Moresby South to benefit from this project include:

 • Pari Clinic

 • Badilli Clinic

 • Vabukori Clinic

 • Lawes Road Clinic

Roem Building Construction has been contracted to carry out the installation works, ensuring that each clinic is equipped with reliable lighting to improve safety for patients, staff, and surrounding communities. The new security lights will enhance visibility during evening hours, deter potential risks, and foster a more secure environment for healthcare delivery.

The NCDPHA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Robin Oge, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Safety is fundamental to effective healthcare. By installing security lights across our clinics, we are protecting our staff and patients while reinforcing confidence in our facilities as safe spaces for everyone. This investment reflects our commitment to community wellbeing and the delivery of quality health services.”

This project is one of several ongoing improvements being implemented across NCDPHA facilities to strengthen service delivery, build community trust, and ensure that healthcare remains accessible and secure for all residents of the National Capital District.
