NCDPHA HOSTS CONSULTATIVE MEETING WITH DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS ON STRATEGIC HEALTH SERVICE DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NCDPHA) successfully hosted a consultative meeting with development partners to advance the Strategic Health Service Development Plan. The meeting brought together government agencies, international organizations, private sector representatives, and faith-based health providers to strengthen collaboration in delivering quality health services for communities in the National Capital District.

Partners in attendance included:

  • National St. Johns Ambulance
  • Conservation & Environment Protection Authority
  • UNICEF
  • Embassy of Malaysia
  • The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
  • The Fred Hollows Foundation Papua New Guinea
  • PNG Cancer Foundation
  • Brian Bell Group of Company
  • Church Health Services
  • PNG Power
  • National Department of Health (NDoH)

NCDPHA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Robin Oge, highlighted the importance of inclusive dialogue and collective action:

“This consultative meeting demonstrates our commitment to building a stronger, more resilient health system. By engaging with our partners, we ensure that our Strategic Health Service Development Plan reflects shared priorities, leverages diverse expertise, and delivers tangible improvements for the people of Port Moresby and the wider National Capital District.”

The Strategic Health Service Development Plan sets out NCDPHA’s roadmap for improved infrastructure, integrated service delivery, and enhanced community outreach. The involvement of partners ensures alignment with national health priorities and global best practices, while also fostering innovation and resource mobilization. NCDPHA extends its appreciation to all partners for their continued support and looks forward to working together in implementing the plan to achieve healthier, empowered communities.
