NATIONAL CAPITAL DISTRICT PROVINCIAL HEALTH AUTHORITY’S MANAGEMENT ACKNOWLEDGES TIMELY DONATION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FROM WORLD VISION PNG AND GLOBAL GRANT

The National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NCDPHA) Management and Chief Executive Officer today expressed deep appreciation to World Vision PNG and Global Grant for their timely and generous donation of essential medical equipment to strengthen laboratory services within the province.

The donation includes:

  • Three (3) Centrifuges
  • One Biochemistry Analyser
  • Reagents for one month’s supply

These critical resources will enhance diagnostic capacity, improve turnaround times for patient results, and support frontline health workers in delivering quality care to communities across the National Capital District.

The Director for Public Health Dr. Amos Lano highlighted the importance of the donation:

“This contribution comes at a crucial time as we continue to strengthen our laboratory systems and improve service delivery. The centrifuges, biochemistry analyser, and reagents will directly support our capacity to diagnose and manage cases more efficiently. We sincerely thank World Vision PNG and Global Grant for their partnership and commitment to improving the health of the people of the National Capital District.”

The NCDPHA’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Robin Oge, further emphasized that such partnerships demonstrate the collective responsibility of government, development partners, and civil society in advancing public health outcomes.

“We are grateful for this timely support, which aligns with our strategic health development goals. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient health system for the people of NCD,” the Dr. Oge stated.

NCDPHA remains committed to working collaboratively with partners to ensure that the Corporate and Strategic Health Development Plan delivers tangible improvements in healthcare access, quality, and equity.
